Lean Sliced Brisket
As a 7th generation Texan who grew up in Montgomery, I can confidently say that Mackenzie BBQ is part of my DNA. My family moved to Idaho 6 years ago, and let me tell you… people up there think they have BBQ. Bless their hearts. Once a year we come back to Texas, and eating at Mackenzie BBQ is not optional, it is a mandatory pilgrimage. Forget Disney World, this is the real happiest place on earth. The brisket still tastes exactly like I remember growing up. Perfect smoke ring, melt-in-your-mouth goodness, and BBQ sauce so good that we literally bought bottles to bring back with us. Yes, TSA absolutely inspected our bag full of brisket and like we were running some kind of smoked meat cartel. We regret nothing. If you grew up in Texas, this place feels like home. If you didn't, this is what real Texas BBQ is supposed to taste like. 10/10. Worth the flight alone.

Had a great brisket grilled cheese here. Nice people and a clean place all the fixing you could ask for what more could you want?!
Lean Sliced Brisket
I recently visited the Montgomery location and tried the Lean Sliced Brisket (From the Pit). You can really taste the authenticity of the pit-smoked process; the brisket was incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and had that perfect smoky finish without being overly fatty. McKenzie's consistently delivers high-quality BBQ that feels like a backyard cookout done right. Highly recommended for anyone looking for the real deal!

The biscuits were so good that my fiance and I decided on the spot that McKenzies was out wedding venue. The Davis room is beautiful and they have been so kind. I can't wait for my z July wedding. We've tried a little of everything on the menu and they do not miss.
Baked Potato Chopped Brisket
This is my favorite or chopped beef sandwiches with yummy French fries. They are the best.
4 Meat Plate
Turkey is by far the best smoked turkey I've had burnt ends are Great. , love the frys and my go to is always the ribs always order half rack and then a 7 rib plate
